NRC NOV – NOV (White)

On May 5, 2006, a Notice of Violation associated with a White SDP finding was issued for a finding involving the shipment of radioactive material in a package with radiation levels on an external surface that exceeded applicable regulatory requirements. The Notice of Violation cited the licensee's failure to properly design and prepare for shipment a package containing radioactive material that was transported from the licensee's facility to an offsite waste processing vendor.
